Install

Four steps from purchase to first request served.

Commands work on Magento 2.4.x and Hyvä-themed stores. Composer is the recommended path; ZIP install is the supported fallback when Composer is not available.

1. Get the files
Composer install pulls directly from our private packagist. Or download the ZIP from your account dashboard. Either path works on Magento 2.4.x.

2. Enable the module
Run the Magento module-enable command followed by setup:upgrade. Module appears in admin under Stores → Configuration → eTechFlow.

3. Activate the license
Paste your license key and the production domain into Configuration → eTechFlow → License. First activation locks the key to that domain.
4. Verify validation
Run `bin/magento etechflow:license:check`. A healthy response shows the bound domain and the next-update window. Add the cron entry so validation continues automatically.

Troubleshooting

What to check first before opening a ticket.

License validation failing

Check the activation domain matches exactly (scheme, subdomain). Verify outbound HTTPS to license.etechflow.com is allowed by your firewall. Confirm system clock is within 5 minutes of NTP.

Cache stale after upgrade

Flush all caches after every Composer update. `bin/magento cache:flush` followed by `bin/magento cache:clean`. If the frontend still shows old behaviour, restart PHP-FPM or Varnish.

Hyvä compatibility check

Modules detect Hyvä automatically. If you are on a forked Hyvä theme, run `bin/magento etechflow:hyva:check` to verify the storefront layer loaded. Open a ticket if the check returns mismatches.

FAQ

Most-asked questions from the install path.

How do I install an eTechFlow module via Composer?: Run `composer require etechflow/<module-slug>` in your Magento root, then `bin/magento setup:upgrade`, `bin/magento setup:di:compile` and `bin/magento cache:flush`. Composer is the recommended path on Magento 2.4.x.
How do I install a module from a ZIP archive?: Unzip the archive into `app/code/EtechFlow/<ModuleName>`. Run `bin/magento module:enable EtechFlow_<ModuleName>`, then `setup:upgrade`, `setup:di:compile` and `cache:flush`. Use the ZIP path only if Composer is not available on the store.
Where do I activate my license key?: Stores → Configuration → eTechFlow → License. Paste your license key and the store domain. The first activation locks the key to that domain. Staging and development domains are unlimited and free.
What happens after my 12-month update window ends?: The installed version keeps working forever. You stop receiving new releases and direct support. Renew at 50% of the original price to extend the update window by 12 more months.
How do I move a license to a new domain?: Open your customer account, go to Licenses, pick the module, then Manage license → Activation domains. Submit a rebind request with the new domain. We approve verified rebinds within one business day.
Why does my license validation fail in production?: Three common causes. (1) The activation domain differs from the live domain (subdomain or scheme mismatch). (2) Outbound traffic to license.etechflow.com is blocked by your firewall. (3) System time on the store is more than 5 minutes off NTP. Check those first, then open a ticket if validation still fails.
Are eTechFlow modules compatible with Hyvä Themes?: Yes. Every module ships with a Hyvä-first frontend layer. AlpineJS for state, Tailwind utility classes, no React on the storefront. Modules also fall back gracefully on Luma if Hyvä is not detected.
Do you publish source code?: Yes. Every purchase includes full source code. No encrypted binaries, no obfuscated PHP. Audit it, patch it, fork it inside your organisation.
